Only completed Grade 8 at Miami High, went to PBC for Year 9 until Year 12, PBC was not built until 1972. Owns Jims Mowing Windaroo franchise and loving it

Came to the Gold Coast in March 1971 and left in October 1971 but attended Miami High during that time. There are two people I can remember clearly but they're not registered here! So, Nigel B, if you read this then get in touch - it's been a long, long time! There was also some called Charmaine I think. Remember that I was in Bindana house.

Still living on southern end of Gold Coast. Widowed, 4 grown up sons and 2 grandkids. Working for a radio station.

Raced motor bikes for 7 years. Became sound engineer and worked with bands on and off for 20 years. Still living in the Netherlands. Had a good mate called Barry Voevodin, I hope the spelling is correct. Been back to Australia twice 1980 and 1999 on holidays. Mother of 4 kids, live at Yatala, just 2 mins behind Yatala pie shop. After leaving school I travelled overseas for about 6 years. Now own business with husband.

Joined the Navy in 69, went to Vietnam 70, now medically retired in Brisbane. Married 2 Kids, 2 Grand kids along with my boat and motor bike.........

Living in the NT since 1978, married for 23 years, 2 children involved in Indigenous Education.

Enjoying tropical life in Cairns happily married with 2 daughters and 2 dogs.

Attended Miami high for 3 years to grade 10. Married (twice) and have 3 sons 2 grand daughters and 1 grandson. Attended 2 reunions. 25th reunion in 1998 at Seaworld Nara Resort. 30 year reunion followed in 2003 at the Chateau in Surfers. Graduated at TAFE in 1994 Diploma of Information Technology. Have been working as a tutor and techer at TAFE (GCIT) since 1995. Initially taught in Information Technology, but now I'm in the Interior Technology and Building Design faculty. Originally situated at Ashmore campus, but since this April this year (2011) have moved into the new Coomera campus. Hey, does anyone from this era recall burying a time capsule at Miami High somewhere (don't remember exact year or place buried) to be dug up in 2000? Have never heard anything about it since.

Did year 12 at Melbourne High School after moving south. Mixed further education with work for the Defence Department and then Telstra. Moved to the UK in 1994 to live in Coventry and work in Telecoms. Looking forward to moving back some day ?? Telecoms ceased in Coventry, spent 2 years contracting at Jaguar Land Rover before returning to study, MSc at University of Leicester. Have now returned to Aus living in Canberra.

Live on 40 acre farm. Married 28yrs. Son & daughter. Have a bamboo plantation, cows, horses, chickens and a dog.

[Statement not provided] Hard to believe it is over 50 years since leaving school!, I am now retired, I worked in the Automotive Industry, left the Gold Coast in 1975 after meeting the love of my life and moved to Melbourne, we had 40 years and 4 sons together until she died in 2015, I re-married in 2018 and we live in regional Victoria, I still go back to the Goldie often to visit family, would love to contact old school friends.

Work in health (pathology) on the Gold Coast. Widowed after 28 wonderful years but have two fabulous sons. Love travelling and spend lots of time with my horses & boxer dog.

Left the Gold Coast a few times ,always to return. I work in the legal industry now. Previously managed bob jane t mart mermaid and have worked for myself since around 1990

Have 3 children 35,33,11 (started early and finished late!) Still living on the Gold Coast. Self employed bookkeeper. Happy and healthy. Enjoy surf, friends, wine. Attended Reunion Miami 50 in 2004 - best weekend ever!

Married 25 years with 4 children aged 20yrs down to 14yrs. Lived and worked on Gold Coast since leaving Miami. A partner in Bell Legal Group.

Telstra Technician 30yrs sevice, Part Time Coach Captain Tourism, worked in Hotel Industry, Married with 2 girls, still live on Gold Coast.

Happily married since 1974, 2 gorgeous daughters, 1 grandson & 1on the way, live Brisbane, try to keep fit, life is great. Treasure my Miami High mates.

Working as a computer programmer in Dallas in USA for the past 20 years, and lived in London for a couple of years before that.

Married to Mark with 2 adult children 25 and 24. One Banker and one Doctor - not too shabby. Lives in Brisbane. Mark and I are enjoying life to the full with lots of travel and learning languages - which we speak rather badly!!! lol Retired from the Federal Public Service a few years ago.
